My deepest condolences to Ruth and to the entire Roach family. Dr. Roach was kind and supportive to me--a huge help when I first started teaching at Compton College. He made a difference to me and so many others. It's a terrible loss.

My deepest condolences to the whole family and friends. Dr Roach was an amazing friend and colleague, He was kind caring supportive.He will be missed by everyone that knows him.I was heart broken by the news of his passing.He was too young to leave us so early.God blesses his sole.

I am deeply shocked and saddened by the sudden death news of Dr. Roach. I do not know if he was ill or what was the reason for his sudden death. He hired me at Compton College about 17 years ago in 2007. He hired me to teach Physics and afterwards I have also taught Math classes and Astronomy Classes. We have many good memories together working as a colleague. He did have a series of good qualities with a relaxed posture, that made his colleagues comfortable to work with him as the Division Chair for many years. He was also visible advocating for the rights of the faculty, of the students and for the Compton College in general. I miss him very much. I pray for his eternal peace. - Dr. Mahbub Khan

I will keep Dr. Roach in my hearth. He was the best professor I ever had. He was the best boss I ever had. He was an exceptional human being. And he was a warrior when fighting for the rights of his fellow faculty and staff at Compton College.
I learned a lot from him, and when I lost my father, I adopted Dr. Roach as my new father. Dr Roach will continue alive in my mind and hearth.
I want to send my condolences to his wife and daughters, and I want to let them know that they can count on me if needed.
I also want to extend my invitation to anyone who reads this text, to keep Dr. Roach alive by remembering all the great achievements he made as a teacher, as a chairman, as a fiend, as a mentor, and as a raw model for many of us.
I will miss Dr. Roach, but I know he is resting by God’s side.

He was truly an inspiration to me being an adjunct faculty member. He always was straightforward and believed in my teaching method and he gave me a chance. He will be truly missed

Dr.Roach is very kind and generous and is one of the best department chairs I have ever met and worked with. He is always forgiving and trusted me in my teaching at Compton. I am saddened too to learn his pass away quite abruptly. I wholeheartedly miss you, Dr. Roach.

Dr. Roach was a wonderful chairman who cared for faculty. He was a wonderful human being very religious. He was always available to speak with. He was very supportive and sensitive to my feelings. I send my condolences to his wife and family. Compton college lost a wonderful member of our faculty. I will miss him.

My sincere condolences to Ruth and the Roach family. Dr. Roach was kind, thoughtful, and supportive to me throughout my career at Compton College. I always appreciated his reaching out to me. He also always stood up for faculty. It will be missed. I am so very sorry Ruth for this loss. I cannot imagine the grief. Please take good care of yourself through this difficult time.

I was truly heart broken when I heard of the passing of a well respected colleague.
My sincere sympathy to the entire Roach Family. May you find strength in all your memories of him.

In this time of deep sadness, may it bring a measure of comfort to know that your loved one was a respected colleague and friend. Determined, articulate and mathematically gifted, Dr. Roach was an advocate for educators and students. With sympathy.

Sometimes I think when I get up that I need someone to talk to and educate me in order to get my reaching goals in life. You were great inspiration and I great friend. I am not going to say “good bye” but a big thanks for all your support and encouragement on my career path. It was not only a honor have you as a teacher but also a blessing, I always going to remember all the things that you thought me and how proud you were because I graduated with honors. How proud you were when I was passing your class, and how proud you were when you saw me graduating . Those words that you gave me I always going to remember, for me you are in my heart forever, and I know you would be forever grateful for me in heaven. I am going to miss you a lot , but now I know that you will be always be here for me, just like always. It’s hard to lose a friend, but I know life is hard and you thought me skills of how to handle things. I always going to remember you. Gracias hermano y que estes con dios.
