Nestor Basile Synadinos

On September 19, 2020 Nestor Basile Synadinos, loving husband of Virginia Le Synadinos, passed away at the age of 91

Nestor was born on September 16, 1929 in Hollywood CA. He served his country in the Army during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. He raised two sons, Eric and Christopher. On February 26, 1966 he married Virginia Le Bryant to whom he was married to for 54 Years.

Nestor had a remarkably interesting and fulfilling life. He and wife Virginia traveled extensively throughout the world for fifty years. He loved camping and motorcycle riding and boating. He was very athletic throughout his life. He learned to ski in his 70’s. He was an amazing mechanic and craftsman; he always had some type of motorized vehicle or house he was working on be it a car or a motorcycle or a boat or a kitchen sink. At one point in the 1950’s he and his friends started a car club and built a drag car that set a world record in its class, it was on the cover of Hot Rod Magazine. He also loved roaming the surf and metal detecting. He will be best be remembered for his world class storytelling and his amazing sense of humor in addition to his remarkable character and kindness. His kindness also extended to all animals, he could not resist an animal that needed help or needed a home.

Nestor was preceded in death by his father Basile, his mother Evelyn and his son Christopher. He is survived by his wife Virginia, his son Eric, and his grandson Nicholas.

A memorial/funeral service will be held grave side on Saturday October 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain View Cemetery, 2400 N. Fair Oaks Ave., Altadena, CA 91001
