Albert Vail Proescholdt, Jr.

On September 28, 2020, Albert V. Proescholdt, a loving father and grandfather passed away at the age of 88.  Albert was born on September 6, 1932, in Manhattan in the city of New York to Albert Vail Proescholdt and Laura Lee Sabin.  In 1950 Albert attended Kenyon College in Ohio where he met his good friend Gene Pugatch and received his degree in Biology in 1954. He served in the United States Army from July 6, 1955, to when he was honorably discharged March 2, 1962.  Albert moved from New York to Los Angeles, California where he met and fell in love with Charlene Joan Brown to whom he married June 2, 1967, and remained lovingly married for 49 years until Charlene's passing in April of 2016.  Albert was a loyal employee of the Los Angeles Traffic Department from 1966, until his retirement in 2007.  

Albert was very gifted in sketch art and landscapes. He was an avid reader and loved classic movies from the '30s, '40s, and '50s.  He possessed a warm sense of humor and had an infectious laugh. As his dear friend Gene Pugatch noted, "Albert was an exceptional, caring person." He was dearly loved by us all and will be forever missed.  May his soul rest in peace. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2020, @ 10:00 am, at Mountian View Mortuary and Cemetary.
