Stella "Toshi" Toshiko Kenner, born Chinen, on November 9, 1933, in Wailuku, Hawaii, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025, in Arcadia, California. She was surrounded by love and warmth in her final moments, reflecting the kindness she shared throughout her life.

Toshi dedicated herself to her family, including her beloved husband, Jerry, and her cherished son, Michael, both of whom preceded her in death. Her spirit of generosity and honesty touched everyone who had the privilege to know her.

The family will hold her funeral service at Mountain View Mortuary, Pompeian Court Garden, on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers or koden (condolence money), contributions be made in Toshi's name to the Christ Presbyterian Church of Hollywood, 4011 Clinton St., Los Angeles, CA 90004, as a continuation of her legacy of kindness.
