Crystal Ruby Soto

Crystal Ruby Soto was a beloved daughter, sister, cousin, niece and friend. She left this world unexpectedly at 18 on April 28th, 2021.

She was born on October 9th, 2002 in El Monte, CA, the daughter of Blanca  Soto and Pablo Soto.

More than anything she cherished the relationship she had with her two brothers. To her older brother she was the loving “chuchito” baby sister, but at the same time to her little brother she was the big sister who looked out for him and was overprotective of him. 

Growing up she spent days at the stables riding horses and helping take care of them. Crystal enjoyed music, her moms famous ceviche (that she tried really hard to copy but could never make it the same way), going to the beach and obsessing over what her next set of nails would look like. 

The last couple of years she spent living in Long Beach with her cousins, where she graduated from Cabrillo High School. Together the three of them would take several mini vacations, watch movies, eat junk food then complain about eating junk food.

Her dreams included joining the Air Force with her best friend. She worked hard to make her dreams a reality by studying for the ASVAB late at night and making sure to stay in shape for bootcamp. She officially swore in March 12, 2021 and was just weeks away from being shipped off into the Air Force. 

She is survived by her mother, Blanca; father, Pablo; two brothers, Erik and Isaac; niece Jaquelyn; cousins, Denise and Richard; and several cousins, aunts, uncles and friends who believed her to be apart of their family. 

You will always be with us, we love you and miss you. Watch over us wherever you are and we promise to never forget how much you mean to us.
