Sally Jane Barnett

Sally Jane Barnett, 82, of Sierra Madre, California passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday May 30, 2025. She was born on December 23, 1942 in Sharon PA, the daughter of Willis and Jane Brooks. She grew up in Alhambra,California.

 

Sally was a loving, devoted mother of Dana Varga (Jim), Scott McGlasson (Patti), Jeff Barnett (Jessica) and Erin Frieberg (Ron).

 

Proud Grandmother of Carlie Helton (Nick), Cody Varga, Jackson McGlasson, Louis McGlasson, Wyatt Barnett, Madison Barnett, Jack Barnett, Madison Frieberg, Logan Frieberg and Jordan Frieberg. Proud Great Grandmother of Ella and Ava Helton. 

 

Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were the heart of her world. She cherished her time with them and shared with them her love of camping, the great outdoors and civic activism. Her family and friends knew her as a woman who never backed down from any causes she believed in, and whose kindness was matched only by her courage. 

 

Sally's impact extended beyond her family. Whether she was organizing local events, advocating for mental health resources, or simply lending a listening ear, she remained strongly committed to improving the lives of others. She will be remembered not only for her strength and tenacity, but for the love and empathy that guided everything she did. She was a long-time member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Pasadena, California. 

 

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Lodge At Sierra Madre, 33 E. Sierra Madre Blvd on Friday August 1st from 1:30-4:30pm. Family and friends please join us for a luncheon and a celebration of Sally's life.

 

She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
